Customer Reviews
I'm absolutely in love with these headphones in terms of built and audio quality. Going from sr60s to 325s the difference is insane. But goddamn do they hurt my ears after a while with these ear pads, wish they had just a bit more padding on them.
I don’t recommend, cheap materials quality not good
After many years enjoying my Grado SR 225 headphones, I thought it was time for an upgrade. The 325x headphones were everything I expected after reading many reviews and the specifications. I clearly hear every instrument as if I am the studio or audience when the recording was made. I especially appreciate the deep Bass sounds. My only disappointment is that Grado hasn't made the
ear cushions and headband more comfortable. As I did with the225's I ordered ear cushions and a headband from an audio company in Australia. I would have preferred Grado to have fixed the problem years ago.
Very good detail.
I have been using the AKG K712 headphones for mixing since 2018. I wanted to get a second set of headphones a few years back and last year picked out a Beyerdynamic model and put it on my list.
I learned of Grado from Dom of Mix Consultancy. I saw it on his Instagram post and asked him about it. He recommended the SR325x.
In my opinion, compared to the AKG K712, the SR325x's low end is clearer. Vocals are very clear. And the highs are also very clear. I could hear a bit more details in my mix on the SR325x. It is not a day and night difference, but there is a difference that you can hear when you do an A/B comparison.
Listening to streaming music (lossless) on my playlist, I was surprised to hear a bit more details. Maybe I was not paying attention before or maybe I was paying attention more because I was evaluating the SR325x but these are songs I listen to before I dive into mixing a song.
My monitors will still be used to check the mix. The AKG K712 will be used to check the mix too. The SR325x will now be my primary mixing headphones. I wish I knew about them years ago.
