The Master3 and Reference3 models use a five piece OTL cantilever technology achieving an additional 5% tip mass reduction over the Platinum3 and Sonata3 models. The coils are wound with ultra-high purity long crystal (UHPLC) oxygen free copper wire. The Master3 model is mounted with Grado's specially designed nude elliptical diamond, and the Reference3 model uses Grado's true ellipsoid design diamond. These cartridges are individually calibrated.

The sound quality is excellent. But for some reason, the stereo separation is not reproducing what is on the record. I know this because this new cartridge is a replacement for my old Statement Series 2 cartridge that had the tip broken off. I was able to compare the 2 cartridges with a new recording and the old cartridge since I transferred the record to CD. Grado says once it gets broken in the separation will improve. Perhaps. Strange because my last 2 cartridges had the correct separation right out of the box. Maybe this is too soon to give a review, but Grado just sent the invitation. I truly love the sound quality of all the Grado products I own, and I do hope in time this issue will resolve itself.

I replaced my older Grado Reference Cartirdge low output with th Master 3 high-output. The difference is stunning. Could not be happier.
I bought the Master 3 intending to set it up on my older, secondary turntable. However, it sounds so good I switched it out with the more expensive MC on my main system!
Firstly - 4OE provided immaculate service. Product arrived in a couple of days. Thank You.
I chose this cartridge as I heard it on a friends system and loved how it had transformed it. We have no components in common so it really was a leap of faith. I was replacing an Ortofon cartridge of similar cost. I have waited a few weeks before writing this review as the cart has evolved as it has run in. The cartridge has not really changed the sound signature of my system in the same way it did for my buddy BUT: the differences are as if my previous cart was delivering a digital sound and the Grado has made my system analogue. Much larger sound stage, brought a warmth to the system that was not there before and Timbre ( I guess there is a clue in the name of the series !). Giving a bit more detail than I had before (not much) but a musicality and richness that I could not have imagined. My old Jamaican pressings (pretty rubbish) of reggae like Third World sound lovely and the Grado enhances the charm of the passing rather than punish it for being less than perfect. Luther Vandross records soar like never before (Grado & Luther the perfect marriage) more recent high quality produced records like Tom Misch and French Kiwi Juice are just impressive. Tracking is very forgiving the cart looking like a plane flying through turbulence while the sound as composed as a sleeping dog. I am now listening to my music and forgetting about the system for the first time.
Still breaking it in but has so far proved itself to be nuanced and dynamic. Bass is deep ... midrange blooms ... treble is smooth and extended. Imaging is pinpoint and throws a wide soundstage. Everything Grado is known for. Plus, Grado / 4ourEars demonstrated thier stated commitment to customer service.
