Not particularly comfortable, but effective re sound transmission.
These replacement ear pads are smaller and thinner than the originals that came with my SR325. Grado makes great headphones but the ear pads suck. Please Grado, put a little money into the ear pads. Leather, or even fake leather would last longer, be more comfortable and be highly appreciated.
My original SR325 headphones came with I believe the S cushions. They were disintegrating, so I purchased what I thought was the same thing. I ordered the replacement cushions that your website stated came standard for my headphones. They were the F cushions. Very cheap looking and feel and way smaller than the ones I am used to. I think I will find another company to buy from. Not satisfied with this very cheap piece of crap you call a headphone cushion. Thanks.
I have had my Grado Prestige SR325 headphones for some 12 years. The original cushions broke up a few years back and I purchased other headphones as the comfort was not good for extended listening. The sound the headphones produce is wonderful. I thought it was time to resurrect them and got new F-cushions. Same great sound, same discomfort with listening to a full albums worth of music. Of course this could be just the way my ears are made as the cushions rest on them an do not actually touch my head.
I was disappointed. They weren't as scratchy as the pads that came with the headphones (bought second hand), but they weren't comfortable for more than a few minutes. I replaced them with some velour pads, and I like them much better. I love grado headphones, but the pads just don't measure up.
