The Green3 uses a three piece OTL cantilever that has a Grado specific diamond mounted on a brass bushing.

Grado’s OTL, or optimized transmission line, technology provides an ideal transfer of signal from the surface of the LP to the generator of the system. This technology rejects unwanted resonances and lowers distortion preserving the fundamental and harmonic frequencies of the music. This also helps keep noise generated by the motor system in the cartridge to a minimum.

Grado’s OTL stylus/cantilever design makes records sound quieter, improves the height, width, and depth of the soundstage, and present more detail than previously obtainable.

The Green3 is hand assembled by Grado's team in Brooklyn, with some builders having over 25 years of experience. This updated series of cartridges offers excellent tonal balance, dynamics, and realism, for a most rewarding reproduction of vocals and instruments. The coil winding techniques using ultra high purity copper wire, which were honed during the development of the Lineage Series, have let the electrical circuits achieve unison between the four coils in each phono cartridge. This allows for a precise balance between channels and accurate stereo imaging.

As in all Grado phono cartridges the Green3 is powered by a twin magnet system that optimizes the balance between stereo channels. All internal magnetic circuit parts are held to extremely high tolerances creating the desired stereo imaging. Grado’s patented Flux-Bridger design allows the Green3 to have one of the lowest effective moving mass generating systems while creating an excellent balance throughout the full frequency range.

Enjoying now and can't wait to pair with a new pre-amp.

Easy to install, and I appreciate the hex driver for the includes screws. Love the high degree of channel separation. Delivers a broad and deep sound stage. I immediately noticed an improvement in bass...it's so easy to distinguish fretless vs. fretted guitars vs. uprights. Vocals are highly detailed with wonderful nuance. A great value.

New life for old TT

Bought the Grado Green in a "P" mount for an old JVC TT from the mid '80's. It was quite an up_grade from the Shure M95E that came with it. Music and lyrics from old LP's sound a lot more clear and detailed. Seems like it took a while to get to Socal but definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend Grado.

Tremendous Upgrade

What a difference a new upgraded cartridge makes! Sound is clearer, cleaner and packs more punch. I have pulled out my Mobile Fidelity 45 RPM records and they never sounded better. This cartridge for the price is an unbeatable value.

F1 Replacement

After my 40 year old Grado F1
was in need of replacement
I reached out to Grado for
what would be today's
comparable equivalent.
They got right back to me
with their recommendation
of the Green. I ordered it and
am happy to have my vinyl
sounding great again. Thank
you Grado for your honest
recommendation, quality
product, and great service.
Here's to hopefully another
40 years.

Plain and simple. GREAT cartridge.

I've been listening to jazz with two Grado cartridges on two different turntables for many years (and I'm due to replace my Sonata as well). My previous Grado P-Mount brought me many many hours of wonderful music and I'd grown to really love the sound. When I first heard the Green 3 last month, it exceeded my expectations and I realized once again why I keep going back. Grado gets it. They
understand how to deliver that warmth we all talk about, It's a lyrical rich three-dimensional sound that I've come to associate with anything from this company.

For those considering the Green 3, my feeling is that within this price range, the cartridge is
unmatched. With the right supporting equipment, it's going to deliver a sound that many associate
with much more expensive cartridges.
