Four conductor: 15 foot (450cm) extension cable terminated with a 3.5mm plug and a 3.5mm jack.

The cables are constructed from the same high quality super annealed copper wire as the X-Series headphone cables, with braided sheathing. For longer lengths cables may be piggybacked up to 3 cables. Grado guarantees no degradation of sonic quality with Grado headphones while using their extension cable.

Grado Mini-Extension Cable - X Series

Excellent product!

Lengthy and Durable

This has worked rather well for me thus far. I especially like the material that the cord is covered with ("braided sheathing," as Mr. Mark referred to it in the previous review, I believe). It seems more capable of withstanding the test of time.

works for both ¼-inch and 3.5mm plugs

The Mini-Extension Cable, with 3.5mm plug and jack, actually serves for both ¼-inch and 3.5mm connections, when also using the detachable ¼-inch jack from, say, the Grado SRS80x headphones (which is what I have). The non-removable end of the phones' cable (that the removable ¼-inch plugs to) is a 3.5mm jack, so I connect the Mini-Exttension Cable to that and can plug the extension plus the SR80x's ¼-inch jack into my CD player's or my amp's ¼-inch phones plug, or remove the SR80x's ¼-inch jack and plug into my computer's headphones connector. Either way, the extension cable gives me plenty or moving-around room in my listening space.

The braided sheathing seems pretty protective of the wiring. I find that, for storage, the cable likes figure-8 looping rather than spiral coiling - much easier and doesn't seem to bias the cable into any one-direction coiling memory.
