A Brilliant Soundstage

Chrome is back in style. Hear the space between instruments with the unique soundstage of the PS1000/2 LE. This is only possible when our large cushions, new 52mm driver, 12-conductor cable, and large housing work in unison. This is the most detail a Grado headphone has ever delivered from your music to your ears.

The PS1000/2 LE is what a PS2000x would be, but is built using a PS1000 housing.

Unsurpassed sound picture. Realistic sound stage! Deep bass, live middle and transparent highs

Hello to all lovers of high-quality sound!
About 12 years ago I bought a Grado RS2 and listened to them occasionally. I liked them for their sound character. Occasionally, various models of SONY, Technics, Bose, AKG etc. passed through my hands, some models were top of the line, but still I liked the RS-2 more. The only thing I missed about them was bass. It was always not enough. But in terms of natural sound, RS2 completely satisfied me.
When my friend was selling PS 1000, I took them to listen and... realized that it would now be difficult to... part with them. Excellent sound picture, including deep bass and transparent highs.
The only drawback is that the PS 1000 is much heavier than the RS2, but the sound quality makes up for this drawback.
I decided to buy PS 1000 for myself. In combination with the RA-1 amplifier, which I bought along with the RS2, the sound of the PS 1000 becomes even more unbelivable!

Powerful and vivid sound

I'm not good at English, so I don't know if this automatic translation will convey it.
But I can't help but say it.
Compared to the GS3000X, the airy treble hides a little.
However, I take a breath in the treble range that I can chase everywhere.
The bass is not very deep, but the impact is sufficient, rhythmic and comfortable.
The compatibility with electronic music is very good, and you can get intoxicated by the depth of space.
Boost other headphones with a re-cable, and even if you are satisfied, GRADO will easily surpass them.
Thank you, GRADO team!

My most complete Grado

While from a purely optical standpoint I'd have preferred some PS2000 shells to surface, the shiny PS1000 shells are definitely catching some attention.
Sonically I'd call these my most complete Grado set. Plus its the first one that works really well with electronic deep bass, beating both the GS3000x (which I guess it shares drivers with) and my beloved GH2. Mids and treble are well balanced, with a bit less of that immediate feeling the GS3000x offers, but still giving a wide stage with pinpoint accuracy in positioning. Overall more even and balanced though.
The cable is quite different from my GS3000x. Seems to also sport 12 strands, but in less diameter and feeling stiffer while the outer sheeting is much nicer to touch, softer. The cable on my GS3000x is more pliable after carefully kneading it for some time.
I also own a PS500x and just love those small series experimentation models with the small imperfections (on my PS2000x -- how I like to call them -- the printing on one shell is too near the center hole).
Overall a lovely addition to my small collection. Looking forward to many hours of musical enjoyment -- thank you for doing this!

A classic.

Rich and full, right out of the box with refreshingly little need for break-in. Powerful, specific, a thing of grandeur without bombast. In case that isn't clear, I like it a lot.
