I am happy with my purchase. This model is more comfortable to wear than the heavier SR325x, I used to own. The Grado sound is ALMOST perfect for my ears. I do equalize the sound with a Schiit Lokius to dampen the treble slightly and enhance the bass. Can’t go wrong with Grado, they make a superb sounding product!
I prefer an open acoustic sound field to hear my surroundings with accurate reproduction of the music I’m playing, in performance or in practice sessions. It’s not complicated - the SR125s are comfortable enough to wear for an entire evening of performance, light and breathable with sound quality as close to perfect as I’ve heard with any headphones. I know I play better using the Grado headset as I can hear everything that I’m doing and the balance of voices with studio precision whether in the studio or on stage.

i have the 125,125i,125e and the 125x. they all sound so very good, but these are the most thunderous. my only complaint is the 3.5mm plug and it being straight, which i find the i/e-Grado right angled plugs more durable.
