A big disappointment

I’ve owned the 325is, 325e, and X versions, so I know this series well. Sadly, this latest model doesn’t feel like it belongs in the same family. The signature top-end sparkle that made the previous versions so engaging is gone.

The cable design is equally frustrating. Mine came twisted right out of the box, seemingly from inside the ear cup, making it impossible to correct. It constantly bends toward my chin during use, which is irritating and feels poorly thought out. Overall, this has been a disappointing purchase. I’m cutting my losses, selling it, and keeping my X and e models instead.

44mm X2 Dynamic Driver

The SR325 uses Grado’s 44mm X2 dynamic driver incorporating a Mylar diaphragm, copper voice coil, and rare earth magnet system engineered for efficiency and control.

The tuning emphasizes articulation and speed, delivering tight bass response, forward midrange clarity, and crisp high-frequency extension.

Signature Silver Headband Assembly

The SR325 incorporates Grado’s Signature Silver headband assembly developed from the same engineering platform as the Signature Gold system.

The assembly utilizes engraved reinforced polymer gimbals and junction blocks, maintaining the improved geometry and controlled rotation of the Gold platform while reducing weight.

A genuine leather headstrap with contrasting white stitching improves comfort, while the internal steel spring band allows listeners to easily adjust clamping pressure.

 

Signature Silver Cable

The SR325 is supplied with Grado’s Signature Silver cable offering reduced weight and improved flexibility compared with earlier designs.

F Cushions

The SR325 ships standard with Grado F cushions reinforcing its immediate and energetic presentation.

Grado cushions also serve as a tuning element allowing listeners to personalize their listening experience.

 

Aluminum Housing

The SR325 features a precision-machined aluminum housing designed to reduce unwanted resonance while supporting a fast and controlled presentation.
