Great product; sounds fantastic!

These are worth losing your hearing with.

I tested a few sets, sr60, sr325, hemps etc, before I bought these. Fell
in love instantly Greatest headphones I've ever heard. I find myself
listening for hours with them. Volume increasing with every song. Music gains a whole other meaning.
Everything sounds vibrant an colorful. All the detail and no boring
flatness. Perfection to my ears. I would rate them 6/5 if I could.

Perfection

These are the first headphones I've spent more than $100 on and they will now be my go-to reccomendation for anybody getting into open ear headphones at this price range. Everything I put through them sounds impactful without losing any detail. They're surprisingly comfortable, having only needed to adjust the headband once to fit. Most importantly, they've got me listening to music more often, and even closer than I was before. The SR80s are my new daily drivers; my new standard for critical listening.

Sound quality excellent-design needs improvement

Sound is crisp and clear, It did require a few hours break in, Design of the ear pieces needs work. The ear pieces swivel too easily. The foam ear pads are uncomfortable and come off too easily.

44mm X2 Dynamic Driver

At the center of the SR80 is Grado’s 44mm X2 dynamic driver built around a Mylar diaphragm, copper voice coil, and rare earth magnetic system engineered for efficiency and control.

The X2 platform also incorporates refined tuning developed through years of listening and feedback, improving balance and clarity while preserving the lively character that has long defined the SR80.

Compared with the SR60, the SR80 delivers greater immediacy and presence with tighter bass response, more forward midrange energy, and extended high-frequency detail.

The cables can be seen coming out of the headphone.

Standard Headband Assembly

The SR80 uses Grado’s standard headband assembly paired with a padded synthetic headstrap.

At the core of the design is Grado’s steel spring band, allowing listeners to easily adjust the inward pressure of the headphones for a personalized and comfortable fit.

Bronze Cable

The SR80 is supplied with Grado’s Bronze cable in a fixed configuration, balancing durability with dependable signal performance.

F Cushions

The SR80 ships standard with Grado F cushions, bringing the driver closer to the ear and reinforcing its energetic presentation.

Like all Grado cushions, they also act as a tuning element, allowing listeners to personalize tonal balance and presentation.

Molded Housing

The SR80 utilizes a lightweight die-injection molded housing that provides durability while keeping the headphone comfortable and easy to wear.

The open-back architecture allows music to breathe naturally.
