The story of the SR80x holds a special place in not only our ears, but the ears of hundreds of thousands of listeners. The first pair was built in 1991 and we wouldn’t be here today without it. With its soundstage, world renowned mid-range, and speed, the SR80x is worthy of being the longest running Grado headphone.
Unreal value, very good sound and build quality is superb. Only complant is no removable cable, i understand it can effect the audio quality but still a bummer to lose out on a very standard feature.

This was a cool giveaway I did for charity, and my 5th Grado I’ve purchased. Y’all rule and wish you were more popular. Your headphones are 11/10 perfect.

I love my Grados so much I've bought a pair for a friend
I love my Grado SR80x cans for music and movies to. My core listening genres are punk rock, rock, metal, classical, acoustic (including live). These are phenomenal. Heading back to Australia to visit and I'm taking a pair of these back as a gift for a friend with the same tastes.
Included photo for proof of purchase but please note they now have modified pads (Dekoni Custom Velour) and the USB-C dac/adaptor is from Fiio/Jade Audio (JA11). I loved my Grados out of the box but don't be afraid to add-on to see how it helps you experience what you listen to in different ways.

Great for Watching Movies
These are my first open back headphones and I’m very happy with them. The wide soundstage is great for movies in particular, imo. They make high quality orchestral soundtracks sound really cool, each instrument section is very distinct from each other, as well as the dialogue. My only complaint is that the ear cups can be uncomfortable after long periods of use because of my glasses. But it’s not too bad, so I’m sticking with 5 stars. I’m very happy to support a family owned business that makes a great and affordable product.
