Good sound for the streaming pop I listen to online.

I have an original pair of SR 80s that I have been using non-stop for so many years that I can even recall exactly when I got them. I use them mostly on my computer for gaming, music and video. They sometimes travel with me. I could not be happier with my purchase from 3 or more decades ago. I have replaced the foam on these once and the cords are finally starting to give me issues. These headphones not only preform well but have been durable. I am finally now going to replace these and I was very tempted to just get another pair but instead decided to try the 325s not because these weren't great but more just curious what could possibly be better. I cannot recommend these enough.

The only reason for not giving a 5-star rating is to allow room for the very high-quality Grado headphones. The open back is an issue when I record vocals, as I like to monitor my voice with loud playback. This causes feedback issues. Aside from that, it is all good! I don't have the money for the more expensive Grados, so this was a great introduction to their quality. The frequency range is very good. I have a hearing disability with a particular deficiency in the low end. I like the SR80x clarity. I'll save up my $$ for another Grado model. Highly recommended for instrument arrangements and music creation.

Received in good order. Comfortable fit. Excellent straight cord. Reproduction is very good. Overall high quality headphones for my ham rig….and at a fair price.

I learned of this product from Comsumer Reports. My previous headphones have been Bose, specifically over-the-ear noise canceling, and from a comfort standpoint, had no reason to change. What drove me to change was my current pair is starting to show wear and not being a fan of the noise cancelling feature. The product that was at the top of CR's list in non-noise-canceling, on/over ear, and in my price range was this one - the SR80x. I was nervous about them being on-the-ear, but the overall satisfaction rating was enough for me to give it a go. Unfortunately, after a few wears, I find I don't fall into the crowd that would vote this. Sound quality is great, but I find after a couple hours I have to take them off due to ear discomfort. I tried moving them forward and rearward to change the pressure points to enable me to wear longer but didn't find success.
