However, the plastic gimbals on my latest Grado Prestige "x" series headphones (225x, 325x) encountered issues within a year of careful usage. One snapped at the connection to the metal rod, and the other at the gimbal pivot points. This was never an issue with the plastic gimbals on my older, non "x" series Grado models. Grado's customer service was efficient; they responded to my Friday inquiry on the weekend and shipped the replacement parts by Monday.

The good folks at Grado sent a replacement gimbal ring that holds the right headphone onto the headset. It snapped into place and worked perfectly the first time, and I'm now enjoying the best headphones I have ever had. Thanks Grado.
