Plastic Gimbal Ring

I ordered a replacement plastic gimbal ring for my Grado headphones which had a broken peg. Installed the replacement and it worked just fine. Next, I immediately replaced the plastic gimbal ring with a machined aluminum gimbal ring. The quality of sound from my sr80e headphones skyrocketed.

Waiting

I’m still waiting for…

Good morning, your package has not arrived to you, tracking shows you are correct. I would like to add that it has been 7 business days since your package shipped from the US to Spain via First Class US Postal Service. I wouldn't have expected your package to have arrived.

It is an international shipment and will probably need to go through customs. These packages take 5-7 business days to be delivered within the United States depending on the delivery point.

Easy to install fix

After many years of use, the plastic gimbel on my headphones broke. I thought there would be problems getting them fixed, but the helpful people at Grado informed me that I only needed a new gimbel, which was very inexpensive. They shipped it promptly, I had no problems installing it, and now my headphones are fixed!

What a relief!

Prestige Series, SR 80 e headphones, purchased six, eight years ago? A post on the "Plastic Gimbal Ring" had broken, so that the left ear-piece was only attached on one side. I was dismayed. Best sounding headphones I have ever owned. Went back to the store I bought them from to inquire about a remedy. No longer under warranty, I was on my own. They gave me a phone number for Grado Labs and suggested I give them a call. I went online, visiting the Grado Labs website and noticed a parts tab. Lo and behold, a new Plastic Gimbal Ring for $10. So I ordered two, didn't have to pay to ship my headphones to them to "repair" and then pay to have them shipped back. And now I have a spare.
