For headphones costing over €300 the gimble ring is rubbish it should be made of metal so it doesnt break like mine did, i hope this one lasts longer, because the ring cost €3,50 but to send it cost me €28,50 and on top of that when it arrived i had to pay another €7 before the postman would give it me. If the other ring breaks i am not going to pay that again ..Surely there is another grado outlet in europe ?
Thank you for your feedback Gary. We always try to make replacement parts available and affordable so owners can keep their headphones going for many years - in this case the gimbal ring was $5.00 (US).
All additional charges (shipping, VAT and local postal handling fee) are set by the carriers and government agencies, and unfortunately are not within our control. We understand how frustrating that can feel, especially when the part itself is inexpensive.
Our gimbal rings are designed to be lightweight and consistent with the orignal engineering of the headphone; switching to metal would require a design of multiple components and would significantly increase the product cost.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts - feedback like this is helpful. We do listen and look for ways to improve our customers experience.

Didn't receive it after 14 days and tracking says it's in Alaska
Hello,
Your package did ship on October 1st and you are correct that it has not delivered. We are shipping you another one. This is what we deal with on a daily basis as the USPS has become unreliable, I have no idea how a package shipping from NY to the West Coast winds up in Alaska, trying to get an answer on why gets you even more frustrated.

Gimbal ring
I haven’t put the part into my Grado SR-60 earphones yet, but I don’t expect it to be difficult.

Great fitting part...but see below...
$5.00 singular plastic ring - reasonable price for part
$9.02 for shipping of above plastic part - unreasonable price for shipping!
