I always enjoy any reason to call Grado and speak with the crew. I was happy to learn that my needed repair was a $12 part and that no shipping the headphones back-and-forth was required. I commented to my buddy with whom I was chatting while switching out the pieces “I feel closer to my Grados being able to effect the repair myself!”

I bought the metal gimbals for.my.325e instead of the plastic. Not designed for the 325 but they are easy to modify for personal use. The service is very good at Grado and they shipped the same.day

Gimbal rings easy to replace but all I really needed was one or two of the rubber caps that should keep the vertical bar from sliding and detaching from the mounting block. The original gimbal rings seem to be ok. I did not see the option on the website to buy just those rubber cap parts, which should not cost more than a few bucks, I think.

Thought the metal ring would work on SR325x . No way, cut off the lower part of the ring and it seems to be working fine
Hi Dennis, I'm sorry for the confusion but we do state on the product pages the models that the metal gimbal works with. Prestige Series headphones such as the SR325 use the plastic gimbal.
