I haven’t put the part into my Grado SR-60 earphones yet, but I don’t expect it to be difficult.
$5.00 singular plastic ring - reasonable price for part
$9.02 for shipping of above plastic part - unreasonable price for shipping!
Broke the gimbal ring on my Grado headphones and was extremely pleased to find replacements at such a low price. Many companies stick it to you when you need any replacement parts, but Grado priced it very reasobably and the replacement is a just like the original. Not only that you get 2 to a package so I no have an extra for when the other one breaks down.
Really only needed the gimbal pegs to replace on a well-worn SR-80 I bought almost 20 years ago. The Prestige series is such a mechanically simple design and a pleasure to work on in the rare event it needs service. I'll always recommend Grado's as a solution to those sick of throwing out headphones.
